While drawing I discover what I really want to say.
Dario Fo
Hi, I am Krittika and Artkrittique is my brainchild. I am an illustrator and graphic designer from New Delhi, India, currently based in Baltimore, United States.
My work has received wide recognition, winning the Communication Arts Award of Excellence, a Creative Quarterly ‘79 Award of Excellence, 3×3 Annual Award of Excellence and being named a Selected Winner in American Illustration 44. My illustrations has been exhibited internationally and showcased in public spaces, including a curated display through Baltimore’s Public Art program.
My illustrations draw from both digital and traditional techniques to create emotionally resonant narratives centered on memory, identity, and everyday tenderness. My clients span cultural institutions, independent filmmakers, educators, and small businesses. In 2025, I was selected for the American Craft Council Market, where I presented a new body of work combining illustration, print, and object design. My work often weaves in South Asian visual language and folklore, aiming to make thoughtful, intimate art that feels both personal and universal.
In addition to my studio practice, I teach art and illustration to graduate and undergraduate students, and continue to develop independent publications and cross-disciplinary collaborations. I have been invited for artists talks at Towson University and MICA’s Pre-college Program, and presented my work at ICON 13, and currently co-teach the MFA Design Studio for MICA’s MFA in Illustration Practice, and teach several three credit courses for Illustration majors.
