My thesis series “All About Love” explores how love feels when you’re far away from the people who love you. This illustration represents me, with the pink flowers being a symbol of love. Across four additional illustrations, different characters interact with the pink flower in unique ways, representing the diverse ways people express and hold love across distances. The final illustration is a four color Riso print. This series won three awards, Communication Arts Award in Excellence, Creative Quaterly ‘79 Award of Excellence, and Selected Winner American Illustration 44.
